Removing Those Stubborn Hard Water Stains

How many times have you stood in the grocery store aisle and wondered what product was going to help remove those nasty white hard water stains? That “stuff” is left behind when you have hard water. It is comprised of calcium and magnesium and it is tough to get rid of!
One of the easiest ways to get rid of water stains is to install a water softener in your home. By doing this, the hard water in your area will pass through a tank where the hard water minerals are removed and soft water enters your home.  It’s a simple process that can help preserve your faucets and pipes throughout your home.
Without all the calcium and magnesium in your water, you shouldn’t get those nasty hard water stains in your bathroom.  By installing a soft water system, or signing up for a soft water delivery service, you will be saving money on cleaning products, energy costs, and even clothes.  Hard water is tough on fabric and clothes just won’t last as long. Hard water also leads to replacing faucets and fixtures more often.
If you have already made the decision to install a water softener – Good for you! Now what are you going to do with those residual stains left on your counters, faucets, toilets, etc.? Well there are plenty of cleaning tips out there to help you get rid of them. Check out One Good Thing for some great tips.
One of the best cleaning tools is plain white vinegar. It’s easy on your home’s surfaces and it does an amazing job of removing hard water stains. Try adding a cup of vinegar to your dishwasher before you run the cycle. You will be amazed at how sparkling clean your dishes will be. It may take a couple cycles to completely rid dishes of the white film, but you will notice a difference right away.
Get rid of those hard water stains for good.  Install a soft water system in your home and enjoy the benefits of cleaner clothes, cleaner faucets, and peace of mind.
